In the interiors of the 1891 Garni Hotel at the end of December, we had the honour and pleasure of hosting an exhibition of young Krakow artists, 'Krakowski Spleen', organised jointly with UFO Art Gallery. Four exhibitions by four duos: Marcin Dymek and Artur Wieczerzyński, Grzegorz Siembida and Michał Maliński, Zuzanna Szary and Tom Baran, Radim Koros and Samuel Kloda.
The artists, born in the 1980s and 1990s, graduated or are still studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Their works have previously been presented in solo exhibitions at the UFO Art Gallery. During 'Krakow Spleen', they had the opportunity to enter into dialogue with each other under the guidance of the curators and curators: Delfina Jałowik, Zofia Janczy, Łukasz Białkowski and Robert Domżalski. Their reflections and thoughts on the exhibition expressed at the opening can be listened to and viewed here.
The event's partners were the City of Krakow, the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and Consultronix CX Art. The media patrons were Restart and Radio Krakow Culture. A programme about the exhibition was broadcast by Radio Krakow and written about by Gazeta Wyborcza.
